Winner

Last Thursday I attended the Clear Channel Student Awards at the Orchid Bar, Piccadilly Circus. It was a great night, meeting some top contacts and picking up the catagory winner for "Sponser Judging award" for Nivea Visage Young. It was a good first awards ceremony and the free bar certainly helped! Let me know what you think of the campaign.

Heres the judges comments:
The Nivea judge was impressed as this design fits the brief and reflects the brand personality. The creative is young, fresh, girly and engaging, and all relevant brand elements have been integrated. Furthermore, the creative idea was carried across the different outdoor formats very well, being innovative at the same time.

Lol not at an agency yet, still in the process of trying to get a placement, I won the award with my first ever piece of advertising, and that ended up me getting in a team and starting the real struggle. Me and Debbie went to MMU doing a course called design and art direction, john and chris from fallon went on the same course and there are so many teams that have come from mmu that are in brilliant agencies, we just hope to do the same.

Didn't get offered a placement there but they focus alot more on selling advertising space rather than creating it.

Its not an endless cycle, but you do have to be patient and be able to take alot of critism, it may not be good comments at the beggining but they say it to help you improve.

Were still in the northwest, its only a trip on the train if we need to go down london so don't believe all the hype that you have to be down there in the hope of getting a placement, we make lots of trips down there.

Get as many contacts as you can and stay in touch with them , the blog is a great start, youve got easy access to people like scamp and the lunar lot. Good luck with it all!
